Jose A. Medina, 81 of Arcola, IL passed away at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at his residence.A memorial celebration of Jose’s life will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL. Father Juan Carlos Ruiz will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the celebration at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery.Jose was born on August 14, 1942 in Cadereyta, Mexico. He was the son of Ramon and Romana (Avila) de Medina. He married Maria Dora Ramirez on May 17, 1961 in Cadereyta, Mexico.  She passed away on July 30, 2019.He is survived by seven children, Juan Ramon Medina, Sergio Arturo Medina and his wife Ana, Jose Alfredo Medina all of Arcola, IL, Iliana Medina Leal and her husband Francisco of Mattoon, IL, Marlen Helmuth, Jose Atanacio Medina and his wife Sabrina and Luis Antonia Median all of Arcola, IL, nineteen grandchildren, Jose, Blanca, Sandra, Tiffany, Heather, Sergio Jr., Sonia, Ar
